The Day the Earth Stood Still starring Keanu Reeves was released on DVD last Tuesday. The 1951 film is often cited on lists of the most influential and greatest of science fiction films. Man’s advancing science would soon extend us beyond our planet, and we are not to bring our aggressions, petty squabbles, and wars to the stars, or we would be swiftly eliminated.
